OUR LOCATIONS

Gull Cove Lodge, Alaska

The lodge has three oceanfront cabins, all three cabins are connected by a boardwalk that also connects to the main lodge "Whale House" and the dock. Halibut, Martin, and Puffin - are perched on stilts at the edge of the Cove. Lots of glass on the sea side permits unobstructed views across Icy Strait. It is not unusual to see bald eagles, sea otters, harbor seals, and humpback whales out your window.

The lodge at Gull Cove Alaska is the gathering point at the beginning and end of each day. With spectacular views of the Fairweather Range across Icy Strait, our guests unwind and socialize in the comfort of the lodge's open atmosphere.

Our days start in the lodge with sourdough pancakes, egg dishes, oatmeal, or other hearty breakfasts while lunches are usually eaten out in the field. Perhaps on a beach or riverbank while glassing for bears. Dinners can feature fresh seafood, steaks, and other entrees, as well as a side salad and side dish. Home made desserts top off the meal and the day.

Alcohol is not provided, it must be brought by yourself, but we have plenty of ice.

Berners Bay, Alaska-Taku Watershed, Alaska

Surrounded by untouched Tongass National Forest, Berners Bay is located around 40 miles north of Juneau, Alaska. With the pristine views of glaciers and fjords that go for miles, it is a gorgeous location to glass for bears. We will be running rivers with a flat bottom skiff, then spending most nights on the F/V Mara. This boat is a 42ft Alaskan Commercial Fishing boat, with an open back deck to watch the Chilkat Mountain range in the distance and whales breaching nearby. Aboard the boat is a galley, 3 bunks in the bow, and a cabin on the back deck with two beds and a heater. Perfect for the true Alaskan adventure. It will be like nothing you have ever experienced before.
